PSA at Ogada Children’s Home.

Half term breaks are period for learners to take time off books and just go back home and have some free time with family and loved ones, but for the children in Care facilities the situation is normally different. They got no home to go to. That’s why upon invite by Mathews Ouko, at teacher at Ogada orphanage, we responded. We spared the Sunday evening to chat , listen and be happy with the children. We felt that there is no better time than now that they are preparing to go back to school from the break. Just to give them nuggets to sustain them for the second phase of first term of the school year. Precious Seed Africa had an awesome time with children of Ogada Children’s Centre in Kisumu West. We shared ways of keeping safe from abuse. It was mentorship, empowerment and an induction into greatness. Different speakers shared on different issues, including discipline.

To check whether what was learnt was captured, some tokens were given and one particular jolly small girl stole the show as she made every effort to give the right answer.

A mentoring session in progress at Ogada children’s home. Here the team lead Mr. Robert Omwa is on the floor

By the time the session came to an end the children were demanding for more and the administration promised to invite us again to the facility.

“This is how big your future will be.” Seems to be what Robert Omwa was saying.
